What is diabetes? Diabetes is one of the most widespread, chronic diseases in the United States. According to the American Diabetes Association, 25.8 million children and adults in the United States—8.3% of the population—have diabetes. Prevalence estimates have increased sixfold since the 1950s, with more than 2,500 new cases diagnosed in this country each day. This staggering statistic is why we chose to connect with the diabetic community.
Our family is personally facing the challenge of coping with diabetes and hope that the information and experiences we encounter can help in some small way your ability to live with and thrive with this disease not suffer from the disease. We are praying for a cure for diabetes. The ADA’s motto of Stop Diabetes is forever in our hearts.
